Highlights from the "Roberts Hawaii" Circle Island Tour on Monday, November 15th

This rock monument is dedicated to Amelia Earhart who was the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California in 1935.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Hanauma Bay is a state underwater park in a remnant of a volcanic crater notched into the shore below Koko Head.
The bay is a popular scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming spot.
It’s closed on Tuesdays and admission is $5.00

This area just a short walk from Hanauma Bay is the area where they filmed the "steamy" love scene from the movie "From Here To Eternity".  At least that is what everyone kept saying but since I've never seen the movie, who knows....

The pictures above are of the Halona Point (Blow Hole).  It’s neat to watch the surf blow through the hole in the rock.

These pictures are of  Makapuu Point, I think (too bad I didn't write it down).

The next stop was for lunch next to the Dole Pineapple Plantation so guess where I had lunch?

I'm also not sure about this group of pictures but I think they are of Sandy Beach on the Windward Coast.

This is the Mormon Temple in La'ie.  The Mormon's also run the Polynesian Cultural Center which I visited on Wednesday and also have a Hawaii campus of Brigham Young University

This was from our last stop on the "Grand Circle Tour".  We stopped off at a small park-like area (again not sure exactly where).  The island on the right is called Chinaman's Hat because of the shape of the island and the picture on the left is of the mountains that were behind me.
