First day in San Antonio - after check-in, we walked around a bit. 

Stopped off at "The Republic of Texas" restaurant  for the Crazy Eights Special - bean & cheese nachos plus 2 margaritas for about $8 (very good).

More walking along the Riverwalk and then drinks (again) at the Menger Bar, followed by a late dinner at Mad Dog, British Pub (potato soup in bread bowl).  BEWARE:  all ID's are checked at Mad Dog.
